Thanks to the progress of medical science, the average life span of human extends year by year. In Japanese case, it reaches over 80 for male and 86 for female as shown with blue line in chart below.
The other line with red color in the graph shows the transition of the healthy life age. The healthy life age is defined as the age that human can live alone without any special help by other people.
In the graph the gap between blue and red lines shows we should live more than 10 years with disability.

 

 

In Japan people knows the word “PPK”. PPK is contraction of the Japanese word “Pin Pin Korori”.
Within this word “Pin Pin” means to live in the very healthy and vigorous condition. “Korori” means to terminate one’s life in short time. So this word has the meaning to live in “Pin PIn” condition as long as possible and to terminate it shortly when one can’t keep one’s “Pin Pin” condition.
For us, as human, it will be the universal wish, I believe.
 
May I introduce two cases of my friends?
 
The first one is the case when I was working for an electronic company. Let’s call Mr.K, one of my friends. We were working very hard even mid night and we are night people then. One night, around 8 PM, he said to me, “Why don’t we stop working tonight and go home?” I am surprised but I accepted his word. When we were waiting elevator, I remember clearly I asked to him “Are you OK?” Then I felt something wrong from him.
The next day I knew that he had gone down and carried to the hospital. Fortunately, a doctor of heart specialist was there and he survived.
 
The second one was happened far from Tokyo. Let’s call Mr.Y. He also went down and carried to the hospital there. Unfortunately there were no doctors there and he had to wait until the doctor’s arrival. Fortunately he survived but he suffered from severe aftereffect. When he retired we had a party around him. Then he reviewed his life in the company, and he counted his working span until that year. His aftereffect from his illness would be an impediment to his working.
 
After retirement there many people to move to country to live surround by a lot of nature. But I’m afraid it might become difficult to get the suitable medical service.
 
We, Salsutek Inc., want to contribute to people by developing and supplying the devices and system to get any syndrome as a foretaste of severe disease ahead. Even he or she lives in the country, it becomes possible to contact to doctor with detected syndrome in advance, even by phone or network.
